Chance for North East firms to influence government on e-business

Online development agency, The North East Regional Portal, is looking to find out how small businesses use e-business.

As part of a project sponsored by One NorthEast and the European Commission, the Regional Portal will gather opinions from North East businesses on use of the internet and IT in the workplace using an online survey.

The online survey results will be used to influence international governments on how they provide e-business assistance. The results will also be used by the new eLeadership Council, as they devise ways to support North East businesses.

Project manager Suzy Jackson explained: “This is a unique opportunity for North East firms to influence how the government provides assistance on e-business in the future. The survey only takes a few minutes to complete and is comprised mainly of multiple choice questions; it doesn’t matter whether participants currently use e-business.

“As an incentive, when the survey is completed in full respondents will be entered into a prize draw to win £400 travel vouchers provided by the Travel Bureau in Gosforth. The vouchers are valid for national and international travel and accommodation, so the lucky winner can use them however they want”

The survey, which takes a few minutes to complete in full, is available via http://www.n-e-life.com/survey or call 0191 487 2002 to participate. It is available until 31 May 2007.
