Henry Prince First School Raise Over £100 through their Web Site

Henry Prince School asked parents and other supporters to do their online shopping via the school’s web site at http://www.henryprince.staffs.sch.uk/shop.htm. Over 100 retailers are accessible there, including Argos, Marks & Spencer, e-Bay and the Early Learning Centre. Many retailers provide exclusive offers to the web shop, such as discounts or free delivery. Each purchase raises money for the school, at no extra cost to the buyer.

The Henry Prince web shop is easy to use: people just click on their chosen retailer and arrive at that retailer’s web site. Anyone with a computer and an internet connection can use the web shop at any time.

Mrs Anne Brown, Head Teacher of Henry Prince School, says “This is an excellent way of involving all members of our community to support the village school. It was set up by our very proactive PTA who are always looking at different ways of raising money to buy resources for our pupils.”

Other organisations can open a similar web shop, and start earning money for their cause, by visiting http://fund-raising.at/henryprince. They need no technical expertise and don’t even have to have their own web site.

The money raised from the Henry Price web shop is going towards stocking a new library for the school.
