Frowns Really Are Upside-Down Smiles

Since its inception 5 years ago, the Laugh for Life Comedy Concert has raised over $115,000 giving many local transplant patients a reason to turn their frowns upside-down. One patient was overheard saying “it felt weird at first, and the muscles in my checks got pretty sore, but by the time the show ended I was used to it, and I’ve been smiling everyday since.” This two-hour show consisting of sketch, stand-up, and improvisational comedy is a lighthearted way for you to do your part for a very serious matter.

Laugh for Life, a comedy concert benefiting the Nielsen Organ Transplant Foundation is sponsored in part by Landstar System, Inc. and will be held July 30th at the Terry Theater inside the Times-Union Performing Arts Center. The show begins at 8:00 pm following a silent auction at 7:00 pm. Admission passes are $20 in advance, $25 at the door day of show and can be purchased by calling (904) 244-9823 or visiting www.notf.org beginning Monday, June 13.
