Provo, UT, May 2007 —- Godfrey Memorial Library recently formed a partnership with WorldVitalRecords.com to provide individuals throughout the world with greater access to millions of records and genealogical collections.

"This is a great opportunity for Godfrey to collaborate with WorldVitalRecords.com, one of the fast-growing genealogy and family history Internet-based companies. Godfrey has a long-standing tradition of research services and we are happy to add WorldVitalRecords.com to our list of resources," said Richard Black, Director, Godfrey Memorial Library.

As part of the agreement, individuals who purchase a subscription to Godfrey Memorial Library (or who are current members) can upgrade their membership to include a WorldVitalRecords.com subscription for an additional $45.
A subscription to Godfrey Memorial Library includes a variety of genealogical material, reference books and indexes, including the 19th Century Newspaper Collection, London Times Archives 1795-1995, American National Biography Online, Oxford Dictionary of National Biography Online, Reference USA, OCLC Worldcat, Marquis Who's Who, and the Columbia World Gazetteer.

The other part of the agreement allows WorldVitalRecords.com to scan and index books, articles, and church records from the Godfrey Memorial Library. The indexes will be housed on both sites.

“We have been in contact with Richard, the Director of the Godfrey Memorial Library from the beginning of WorldVitalRecords.com and we have been interested in the Godfrey collection. Since our visit to the library last September, we knew we would eventually work together with Godfrey to scan their content and make it accessible online,” said Yvette Arts, Director, Content Acquisition.

WorldvitalRecords.com subscribers benefit from this partnership by having the option to upgrade to the Godfrey Library Scholar Online Portal for only $30 (a $35 value).

“The Godfrey Memorial Library is an icon in the field of genealogy and family history. Both of us benefit by this partnership because Godfrey provides us with immediate access to top reference materials, and in turn, Godfrey benefits from WorldVitalRecords.com’s daily additions to its ever growing collection,” said Paul Allen, CEO of WorldVitalRecords.com.
