Few tea lovers have the opportunity to truly experience an insider’s perspective on China’s growing tea industry. Travel writer Beth Whitman and World Trade & Exchanges have pulled together a tea tour that combines a cultural as well as professional exchange geared towards tea lovers, buyers and traders.

The tour to Beijing, Hangzhou and Shanghai, will provide participants with the opportunity to meet with the China Tea Marketing Association in Beijing, visit tea markets in Da Zha Lan street markets, travel to a tea farm outside of Hangzhou, watch tea as it is stir fried and meet with the Shanghai Tea Association. Among many other highlights, the tour visits iconic Chinese sites including the Great Wall, the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, the National Silk Museum and countless markets and food stalls.

Beth Whitman, author of Wanderlust and Lipstick: The Essential Guide for Women Traveling Solo is leading this ten-day tour while World Trade & Exchanges is handling all logistical aspects.
