Anchor Audio Unveils Newest Portable Public Address Systems Inspired by Dealers at InfoComm 2007

June 13, 2007 (PRLEAP.COM) Technology News
Responding to dealer requests, Anchor Audio, the leader in portable public address systems, will introduce the Acclaim portable lectern sound system at InfoComm 2007, the largest professional audiovisual industry tradeshow, in Anaheim, CA, June 19-21, at booth 3300. They'll also feature the dealer-inspired Beacon portable line array sound system, capable of replacing up to four traditional speakers. InfoComm attendees will have the chance to see Anchor Audio's full range of portable public address systems "live in action" at conference training sessions from June 15-21.

Until now, dealers of portable public address systems for rental markets ranging from weddings to educational to corporate events have had to resort to permanent, full-size lecterns or resign themselves to poor speech quality from portable lecterns. In order to satisfy dealer requests for a portable lectern with great sound quality, Anchor Audio has developed the Acclaim portable lectern sound system capable of reaching crowds of 500+ with 114 DB of crystal clear speech and sound. With 16 channel UHF Diversity wireless, a single built-in wireless receiver, true AC/DC capability, and the ability to run 7+ hours on a charge, the new lectern portable PA system, portable sound system provides dealers and their customers with the flexibility for on-the-go, indoor/outdoor lectern use with uncompromising speech and sound quality.

Because presenters such as teachers had trouble lifting traditional 45-lbs. speakers onto stands or tripods, not to mention recruiting helpers to carry and set up multiple speakers and stands, Anchor Audio developed the Beacon portable line array sound system, which is capable of replacing up to four traditional speakers and makes moving or lifting such equipment unnecessary.

Traditional speakers tend to "blow away" people in the front row while leaving people in the back row straining to hear, with an unsatisfactory 30-degree sound dispersion rate that requires lifting speakers onto stands. To remedy this, the patent pending Beacon portable line array sound tower disperses sound evenly at a 170-degree rate, making the raising of multiple heavy speakers unnecessary. Fully self-contained and built at ground level so no lifting is required, the Beacon portable sound system can be opened in less than a minute. Everything is built into one compact enclosure including battery, storage bag, collapsible handle and rolling wheels, with all the extras like CD player and wireless microphones available as well. With true AC/DC capability, eight 4" speakers and two 8" woofers, the portable PA system has the ability to reach crowds of 5,000+ and no tripod or stand is ever needed.

Made in the USA, the Acclaim portable lectern sound system and the Beacon portable line array sound system by Anchor Audio have 6-year warranties, the industry's longest. Anchor Audio is the leading manufacturer of easy-to-use, high quality, portable public address systems. Anchor has specialized in portable audio for almost 30 years and has developed a range of sound systems to meet virtually any venue need. Because many of their portable public address systems are designed to solve specific dealer requests, they actively seek dealer input, especially at InfoComm 2007, booth 3300.
