USFAssistant Professor of Psychology Dr. Cori Bussolari to Appear on Healing the Grieving Heart National Radio Show

New York, New York and San Francisco, California – Dr. Cori Bussolari licensed psychologist and Assistant Professor of Counseling Psychology at the University of San Francisco will join Drs. Gloria and Heidi Horsley on their nationally syndicated talk radio program "Healing the Grieving Heart" June 14th, 9 AM PST/12 noon EST.

Dr. Bussolari has a private practice and specializes in terminal illness and bereavement. She is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at USF, and teaches graduate courses in a variety of clinical areas. Her professional practice has been focused on individuals coping with highly challenging life circumstances. Dr. Bussolari's professional focus stems in part from the loss of her own parents during adolescence. Her losses have strengthened her desire to support others through the most stressful times of their lives.

Dr. Heidi Horsley is herself a bereaved sibling whose 17 year old brother, Scott died in an automobile accident when she was 20 years old. Currently she is an adjunct professor at Columbia University School of Social Work, teaching several courses including Grief, Loss, and Bereavement.

Dr. Horsley, PsyD, LMSW, MS holds graduate degrees from The University of San Francisco, Columbia University, and Loyola University in New Orleans. She is an adjunct professor at Columbia University and a therapist and researcher for the FDNY-Columbia University Family Assessment Program which provides ongoing intervention to families of firefighters killed in the World Trade Center. Dr. Horsley facilitates annual workshops at National Compassionate Friends Conferences.

Dr. Gloria C. Horsley, PhD, MFC, CNS has worked in the therapy field for over twenty years and is a bereaved parent. She holds graduate degrees from the University of Rochester, Syracuse University, and Holos University.

Dr. Gloria serves the Compassionate Friends ( www.thecompassionatefriends.org ) in a number of roles, including as a Director of the Board. She frequently serves as a media spokesperson for TCF in her dual role as a professional and bereaved parent.
