Woodsville, NH— On May 18, Coventry Log Homes, Inc. conducted a by-invitation only, seminar for potential log home buyers. The annual seminar has lured participants from as far away as California. The all-day seminar featured two Power Point presentations produced and presented by the companies vice president, Mark Elliott who also serves as chairman for the Task Force on Moisture Content Verification and Vice Chair of the Log Grading Committee for the Log Home Council.

The topics covered were: 1) the long history of the company, along with a list of sound reasons why one would buy from Coventry Log Homes, including it’s affiliation with the National Association of Homebuilders and its off-shoot the Log Home Council (of which there are only 60 members nationwide) and their high technical and compliancy standards that a member must adhere to; and, 2) the buying and building processes from start to finish.

A particularly welcome aspect of the days seminar included an on-site tour of the mill where all the logs are planed and cut to each log home specific design plan. Since most log home builders in the north east are more likely to build during the summer months, May is a particularly busy month for Coventry Log Homes and Coventry Log Homes must ship out a manufactured log home every day of the month to keep up with the demand. As a result participants were able to witness an 18-wheel truck being loaded with a log home kit and prepared for delivery. The conclusion of the tour featured a hands-on demonstration which outlined the process and ease in which the logs are stacked and secured in the construction of a log home. All participants of the Log Home Buyers Seminar were awarded gift bags in appreciation for their attendance and were served a good old-fashioned home cookout along with all 30 Coventry Log Home employees.
