TTRide Tri for Leukaemia

Never one for sitting around, TTRide director Linley Lewis competed in the Blenheim Palace Triathlon last weekend. Along with a field of over 5,000 triathletes from around the country, Linley finished in good time and managed to raise a substantial amount of money for the Leukaemia Research Charity as they look to raise up to £100 million to improve treatment of Leukaemia and other blood cancers.

“It was a great day, seeing all the competitors pushing themselves in the name of charity was a really humbling experience”, said Lewis.

Running as a member of the “Banana Army”, the charity fundraising team attached to Leukaemia Research Charity, Linley completed an 800m swim, 20km bike ride and 5km run. Having had a taste of the “Tri” he’s now looking for bigger and better things with tentative plans for a fundraising Land’s End – John O’Groat’s bike ride next summer. Keep your eyes peeled on the Ticket to Ride website for further developments and sponsorship opportunities.

Ticket to Ride would like to say many thanks for the organisers of the triathlon and a big well done to all competitors.
