(Atlanta) – Interracial dating and social networking website, Interracialoasis.com launches the beginning of it’s national grassroots campaign for membership to build awareness of the completely free website.

CEO Jon Coward, says, “I really don’t have the budget to splash the web full of banner ads with the non-funded business model I have chosen. Also, an affiliate program is prohibitively expensive until you make enough money to determine a proper value for each member. I borrowed from my days of working for a start up cable network. Just get the word out there. If they like it, the people will spread it. Minimum expenditure of cash, maximum effect!”

The grass-roots campaign launches in Mid-June and will continue indefinitely. A variety of media types and tactics will be used to promote the site, the value of free dating sites and interracial dating site do’s and don’ts.

“The campaign is an educational one to build credibility for Interracialoasis.com. If at the very least people become educated about what free dating website membership is and isn’t. Too many interracial dating websites advertise a free membership, free profile or free to join. But that’s all smoke and mirrors. Doing anything besides looking costs big money! Some of the sites even penalize paying members by not letting anyone read the mail they send unless the recipient is paid too! They don’t even tell you except in the fine print,” Coward says.

Online dating experts have debated whether the free model works for dating sites or whether paid sites have more quality members. There are successes in both sides.

Coward adds, “There are plenty of free dating sites with great success. The fact that Interracialoasis.com is a niche site shows that our members are serious about their niche. When it comes to dating sites, free doesn’t have to mean you don’t have quality members. We embrace the traffic-based advertising and affiliate models from other sites such as PlentyofFish.com. However, with a niche site, I have to be choosier about my advertisers and affiliates to maximize my audience since my traffic won’t be as high as a general audience site.”
