London, June 2007: As part of its bid to increase its presence in the hospitality market, Exterity, a provider of network IPTV, has appointed Mark Rushton as sales manager. Mark will be tasked with driving the sales of Exterity’s Hospitality IPTV solutions in the UK, including the new idaptor TriplePlay receiver that combines delivery of TV, internet access and an IP telephone point in a single device. Mark will report directly to Exterity’s International Sales Director, Richard Phillips.

Mark, who joins the company with more than ten years experience in the hospitality industry, will be responsible for building on Exterity’s already successful sales programs into hotels, hospitals and recreational environments. He will set about building relationships with key channel partners in this area and target large hospitality players outlining the benefits of using IP to deliver television and telephony to hotel guest rooms and hospital bedsides.

“The hospitality industry is seeing the benefits of using an IP network, to deliver services such as TV and telephone that traditionally required separate cabling systems,” commented Colin Farquhar, CEO, Exterity. “Our Hospitality IPTV solutions are set to make this process even easier. Mark’s experience and knowledge of this sector will be key in helping us to promote our latest products and as a result grow our market-share.”

Before joining Exterity, Mark held several senior sales roles in companies that provide IT and technology solutions to the hospitality industry. At RedSky IT, Mark was responsible for managing the southern England team, ensuring that sales targets were accurately set and achieved. Prior to this, Mark spent two years at Ramesys Hospitality, where he was played an integral role in meeting the annual sales targets.
