For Your Home (FYH), a national house and garden show is going “green" this year. FYH is gearing up to produce 26, half-hour shows that will address simple and affordable changes viewers can make in their homes, gardens and everyday activities to bring them closer to living a more environmentally conscious life.

For Your Home is the #2 most aired home and garden show in the country. Do-it-yourself experts and designers Vicki Payne and her daughter, Sloan Payne-Rutter, are the ”go-to” gals in home improvement who offer an extensive collection of creative and do-able ideas for that place you call home.

Program co-host and producer Vicki Payne says, “Now is the time for our show to help make a difference in the world we all live in. Sloan and I are both passionate about the environment and excited to share real, hands-on ideas that can make a difference in our viewers’ lives and their neighborhoods. We are delighted to support this important world-wide initiative.”

Show topics will include tips for hassle-free recycling, how to decorate using products manufactured using sustainable products as well as environmental friendly gardening projects and ideas. The show will highlight their “Green Team”, an environmentally friendly collection of companies, products and projects. Furthering the show’s commitment to initiatives that support the environment, the FYH website will provide links to companies who take responsibility for the environment. Helpful tips and recycling information provided by the show’s viewers will be shared via a “Green Blog” on the show’s site.
