The Royal Photographic Society’s President, Professor Ralph Jacobson Hon FRPS ASIS and RPS Exhibitions Manager Lesley Goode went to Kiev for the opening of the 149th International Print Exhibition, which was attended by The British Council, representatives from the National Art Museum of Ukraine and sponsors TNK-BP. Professor Jacobson and Lesley Goode also attended the Kyiv Photofair at the Exhibition Centre, where Professor Jacobson gave a Masterclass on ‘Aspects of Image Quality from an Imaging Scientist’s viewpoint’, as well as a presentation about The Society.

Heralded as the ‘highlight of the month’ in Kiev, the Exhibition was featured in many publications before it even arrived in the Ukraine, creating a lot of public interest. Since it’s opening, the Museum has been receiving between 2,000 – 3,000 visitors per day.

“Over the last 150 years, the International Print Exhibition has stood for the very best photography that the world has to offer and it is exciting that we are now able to share the exhibition with photographic enthusiasts in Ukraine for the first time, thanks to the support of the British Council.”
Professor Ralph Jacobson, President of the Royal Photographic Society
