How to Get Published Seminars at Select NC Borders Bookstores

June 20, 2007 (PRLEAP.COM) Entertainment News
A number of Borders Bookstores in the Raleigh/Charlotte area are providing an opportunity for local writers to learn more about publishing options. NC State professor and author Stacey Cochran (The Colorado Sequence) will lead the series focusing on "How to Get Published: Traditional Publishing, Self-Publishing, and Literary Agents."

Stacey's presentation comes from 10+ years of personal experience in the publishing business.

“The response to what we are doing has been terrific,” said Cochran. “When I, author Jon Batson (The Rands Conspiracy) and our publicist Eileen Batson, started doing these we wondered if anyone would actually show up! The numbers we are drawing to the events is a testament that there are hundreds of people who have a story to tell and want to see what they have written in print.”

Copies of sample query letters for literary agents will be provided and Stacey is prepared to answer questions regarding the publishing business and getting your book in print. This event is free to attend, and all are welcome.
