Wendt Gallery to host 2007 Annual Summer Show benefiting Festival of Children Foundation

Laguna Beach, CA. - Wendt Gallery is thrilled that it is again time to host its Annual Summer Show. The gallery is pleased to announce that they have chosen Festival of Children Foundation as beneficiary for this year’s Show.

From July 5th through 31st, the exhibition will feature 180 new paintings created by more than 60 contemporary artists from across the nation. The private reception will be hosted Saturday June 30th from 4-7 pm. This is a private event, and reservations are required. The general reception will take place Thursday night, July 5th, from 6 to 9 pm. American Art Collector Magazine will once again sponsor this show as well as featuring the event in a very special article in their magazine's July issue. A 24-page catalog featuring several exhibited works will also be available.

“Festival of Children Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to building a stronger network of children’s charities. What began in 2002 as an effort to benefit local organizations focusing on Arts & Culture, Environment, Education & Development, Health & Wellness, and Social Services and their impact on children has blossomed beyond Orange County and into the nation”.
Celebrity spokespersons, including Cindy Crawford, Christian Slater, and Anne Heche, are part of the national rollout of the Foundation’s newest campaign to build public awareness of children's charities and the great work they are doing to improve the lives of children. “Because I have two kids of my own, a five-year-old and a seven-year-old, I wanted to be a part of this campaign for Festival of Children Foundation. Anything that supports a brighter future, creativity and imagination as far as their lives go is something that I want to be involved with,” says Christian Slater.

Wendt Gallery will donate an original painting by artist Joseph Todorovitch, which will be raffled off during the exhibition. All proceeds from the raffle benefit Festival of Children Foundation. Raffle tickets can be purchased up to July 31st through Festival of Children website - www.festivalofchildren.org or www.wendtgallery.com. Tickets are $10.00 each.
