Campaign to Promote Print by 8 PR Firms and the Print Council

May 25, 2005 – The promotion of the greater use of printing and print media is the Print Council’s present active campaign. The campaign was announced by the Print Council’s executive director Martin Maloney on May 3, 2005 at Greenwich, Connecticut. Maloney also highlighted the fact that eight Press Release firms joined in an extraordinary pro bono alliance. This alliance is essentially formed to support the Print Council’s communications activities and spread the information across all other targeted industry segments.

The participating firms in the alliance and their executive contacts are:

- Group M – Rosemarie Monaco
- HSPR – Helene Smith
- Hayzlett & Associates – Mark Bonacorso
- Hebert Communications – John Hebert

The awareness drive on the promotion of print will be done on an ongoing rotating basis as agreed by the eight participating PR firms. Each firm will provide PR services. They will be writing press releases and backgrounders that covers The Print Council’s objectives, the printing industry’s activities and accomplishments in marketing and organization growth.

Aside from PR services that they have agreed to do, the NAK Marketing will also provide pro bono advertising services for The Print Council.

In a statement regarding the importance of the PR alliance’s formation to The Print Council, Maloney said that The Print Council members deeply appreciate the immediate and enthusiastic response given by the eight firms. The firms support to the organization’s newly heightened commitment to raise awareness of print and its tremendous advantages and practical usefulness to the community.

The pro bono alliance is indeed a remarkable formation that is unprecedented in the print world. The formation demonstrates the conviction that print has a tremendous value and importance in order to communicate significant messages to the marketplace.

In order to continue the coordination of the alliance, Maloney will be responsible for the updates and the distribution of The Print Council material. Distribution will be cone through his firm, Broadford and Maloney.

The Print Council is an organization that serves the print industry to develop, maintain, and increase the market for printed materials. It was organized and launched in 2003 through education, awareness, market development and advocacy.
