CINCINNATI BELL WIRELESS - FIRST NORTH AMERICAN CARRIER TO LAUNCH SPINVOX

June 24, 2007 (PRLEAP.COM) Business News
SpinVox, the world leader in Voice-to-Screen™ messaging, announced today that Cincinnati Bell’s (NYSE: CBB) postpaid wireless subscribers can now opt to have their incoming voice messages converted to text and sent to their mobile phone via SpinVox.

The partnership with Cincinnati Bell, initially announced in February, and the launch of the service marks the first commercial deployment by SpinVox with a wireless carrier. SpinVox will be announcing additional deployments in North America and around the world in the months to come.

SpinVox Voice-to-Screen messaging service eliminates the need to check voicemail in the traditional way, which can be time-consuming and frustrating. With SpinVox, voice messages are converted to text and sent as text messages to the user’s device, which could be any cell phone, PDA or BlackBerry.

“SpinVox will transform voice messaging for our customers,” said Jack Cassidy, president and chief executive officer, Cincinnati Bell Inc. “Our customers are looking for easier, simpler communications and that’s what we’re delivering with SpinVox. It’s an innovative product capability that allows individuals to stay connected and informed when their daily schedule may be too hectic to stop and listen to a voicemail message.”

Added Christina Domecq, CEO and co-founder of SpinVox: “This is a tremendous milestone for both SpinVox and Cincinnati Bell and marks the true introduction of Voice-to-Screen messaging to North America. Cincinnati Bell’s strategy of innovation and service delivery is the foundation of its success.

It is no surprise that they are the first North American carrier to go live with SpinVox – delivering a service that allows their customers to communicate better, faster and more efficiently.”

The new service will be available to Cincinnati Bell subscribers in a variety of price packages that start at $4.99 per month. The regional telecommunications company plans to extend the offering to its wireline customers later this year
