GREWAL EYE INSTITUTE formalizes agreement with CIGNA and VANBREDA International Insurance for providing quality eyecare to expatriates

Grewal Eye Institute (GEI) announced today that it has established a formal agreement with the Philadelphia based CIGNA International Expatriate Benefits (CIEB) and the Antwerp based Vanvreda International to accept direct payments so that expatriate patients will not have to worry about payment at the time of treatment.
Cigna, which has a 125-year history in insurance, is amongst the leading health insurers in the United States, and its various health plans cover 32 million people in the United States.

Through this new agreement, CIEB and Vanbreda members, as well as the insured international business travelers, will have access to all the facilities offered at GEI. CIEB and Vanbreda members will not have to pay fees at time of service GEI which will now accept direct payments from CIEB and Vanbreda, as well as guarantees of payment for services such as inpatient surgery. This agreement removes the burden of the patient paying a claim in its entirety at the time of service. International patients will now be able to enjoy the benefit of cashless treatment at GEI.

CIGNA members will now have direct access to advanced eyecare at GEI including the Glaucoma service, Advanced Retinal Centre, LASIK service, Cornea Service, Squint Service, Pediatric Ophthalmology Service and the Advanced Keratoconus Clinic. International patients can now avail the advantage of world class ophthalmic treatment at GEI, at prices which are just a fraction of those prevailing abroad - without having to worry about whether the insurance company recognizes the treating hospital. With this agreement GEI becomes the first Eye Hospital in India to be recognized as a preferred provider for the US and Europe based Insurance companies.
