Kangaroo Brands now offering Omelet Pitas for a fresh, fast and healthy breakfast. At a time when hot and healthy breakfast sandwiches are hard to find on foodservice menus, Kangaroo Brands fills the need with hand-held Omelet Pitas. It is a quick-serve, pocket sandwich that provides a mess-free way to enjoy a naturally nutritious, satisfying meal on-the-go.

Kangaroo currently offers four omelet varieties: Cheddar Cheese, Santa Fe, Ham and Cheese, and Sausage and Cheese. Additional varieties are currently being developed.

A fully cooked omelet prepared using fresh eggs and natural meats and cheese is nestled in a no-fat, low calorie Kangaroo white or whole pita pocket. The sandwiches are individually wrapped for retail and vending, or bulk packed, and ship frozen.

Omelet Pitas are heated using a microwave for self-service retail establishments or with conventional foodservice ovens. Individually wrapped sandwiches use full color, oven-safe film for heating up to 325 degrees Fahrenheit.

About Kangaroo Brands:
Kangaroo Brands has been baking pita pockets since 1979, when it became the first company in the United States to create precut pita pockets. Since then, the company has patented Open Pockets; a proprietary process keeps the pita open and ready to fill, allowing consumers and foodservice operators to easily create a pocket meal. In addition, Kangaroo bakes all natural Pita Chips and Greek Pita Flatbread.

The company also published The Pocket Diet, a hospital-tested portion control diet, using Kangaroo’s pocket bread. This summer a new edition of The Pocket Diet book will be available, featuring more than 200 easy-to-prepare recipes created by the “Pocket Chef,” Jenna Bayley-Burke.
