Cabot, AR, July 2007– George Wylie Thompson, chief executive officer and president of the Arkansas Karate Association, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for his instructional prowess and successful salesmanship. Thompson is a strong, determined, patient and highly skilled instructor who has parlayed his passion for the martial arts into a successful karate school. He would like to thank his Sensei Torajiro Mori of Tokyo, Japan.

As a practitioner of martial arts since 1967, Thompson has been training and instructing others in the art of karate since 1992. Currently a 5th degree black belt, he instructs students from all walks of life and skill levels at his school. Thompson teaches students a myriad of self-defense techniques that range from beginner white belt all the way up to black belt. The techniques and lessons taught not only focus on self-defense and self-control, but also instill a desire to live a healthy, balanced lifestyle.

As a former U.S. Marine Corps Vietnam veteran, Thompson is extremely honored to have been given the opportunity to train Marines in one-on-one combat, derived from various karate techniques. “Since hand-to-hand combat is especially integral to a Marine’s training and ability to survive any combat situation in which no weapons are availiable, I feel privileged to teach these crucial techniques to my fellow Marines,” he says. Thompson is currently collaborating with Arkansas Master Smith John Fitch to make handforged custom knives that can be distributed to the troops in Iraq.

In accordance with Thompson’s belief in maintaining the optimal level of health, he also uses, endorses and sells anti-aging and restorative health products distributed by Waiora. The company’s approach to optimum health involves removal, replenishment and restoration on a cellular level. Thompson successfully lowered his own blood pressure using Waiora products.
