Bellevue, WA — Pharmacy OneSource, Inc., software-as-a-service provider to more than 1,000 hospitals in the United States, announced today that Health Authority in Abu Dhabi (HA-AD), United Arab Emirates will be adopting Amplifi to manage their formularies and communicate medication information throughout all seven of its hospitals.

“Health Authority Abu Dhabi had been looking for a solution that linked the HA-AD central office with its seven regional offices. We looked at many different formulary solutions and found Amplifi to be the best cost-effective solution,” said Dr. Mohammed Abuelkhair, Acting Head for Drug and Medical Product Department and Chairman of the HA-AD Formulary Committee.

Abuelkhair said Amplifi is going to be managed by the authority poison and drug information center staff and each regional hospital will manage their own sub-formulary, which makes the system very useful and flexible to all the formulary managers at each of the hospitals. Also, it enables all the healthcare providers on staff to access the formulary information and see monthly updates and new warnings, treatment protocols and criteria for drug use.

“We’re delighted to gain Health Authority of Abu Dhabi as a customer,” said Keith Streckenbach, Executive Vice President of Pharmacy OneSource. “High performance pharmacy knows no physical boundaries and our growing international customer base is proving this daily.”

Amplifi is a flexible, robust formulary management and pharmacy communications application with integrated drug information. It provides pharmacists with the most versatile, easy-to-use tool to manage, update, and communicate formularies in print, on the web, and on handhelds.
