A Million Dollars If You Can Sing The Lyrics

July 07, 2007 (PRLEAP.COM) Entertainment News
How many song lyrics do you know by heart? Fox is betting $1,000,000 that people don’t know them all. The casting company hired for “Don’t Forget the Lyrics”, a new game show from the Fox Network, will be conducting interviews for potential contestants at the offices of One Source Talent in New York and Miami this Sunday, July 8, 2007. As long as contestants are 18 years or older and made it through the open call July 7, 2007 at Porky’s NYC (10:30a – 3p), New York, or Lucky Strike (12n-6p) in Miami Beach, they may just have a chance to demonstrate their lyrical knowledge on television.

“Don’t Forget the Lyrics” is as the name suggests: contestants need to know the lyrics to songs. What kind of songs? The songs can be current hits, last year’s hits or hits from the 60’s and 70’s. In other words, the contestants better have their musical memory cap on. And oh yeah, they better not forget their singing voices too. As another element of the show, the lyrics must also be sung. The game is not won or lost based on vocal talent, only on memory, but singing, nonetheless, is required; the quality of the singing, however, is not.

The casting directors for “Don’t Forget the Lyrics” are very familiar with One Source Talent’s hospitality. They had a similar office arrangement during the original casting for NBC’s “Fear Factor”. Additionally, some of One Source Talent’s models and actors auditioned and appeared on “Fear Factor”. One Source Talent is hoping for a similar result with “Don’t Forget the Lyrics”.

One Source Talent is thrilled to assist Fox and the casting company with “Don’t Forget the Lyrics” interviews and it looks forward to doing more with them in the future.
