Members of the Wall Street Community will come together on Tuesday, July 24, 2007 at the Wharf Bar and Grill between 5:00- 8:00 PM to raise awareness and research dollars to fight ALS. Bar night is scheduled as an official kick-off for MDA’s 2007 Wings Over Wall Street event on Thursday, September 20, 2007, a fundraiser for research programs to combat Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) – commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease.

ALS is a progressive motor neuron disease that causes weakness and muscle wasting and can lead to complete paralysis with an average three-to-five year survival rate. Every dollar raised at Bar Night will benefit the Wings Over Wall Street ALS research teams at Columbia University in New York and Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD. The event consists of 3 hours of food and cocktails and features an outdoor patio. A $100 tax- deductible donation is required for open bar and appetizers. Tickets are available by contacting MDA at 212- 689- 9040 or specialeventwings@mdausa.org. Tickets will also be available at the door.
