BOULDER, Colo. July 10, 2007 Green Endeavors, the Boulder-based nonprofit founded to encourage reusable grocery bags, will kick off its reusable bag campaign at the Denver Earthworks Expo, Friday July 27 to Sunday July 29 at the Denver Merchandise Market.

The first annual Earthworks Expo, a sustainable-living event, will host over 100 green companies and organizations from around the country. Green Endeavors will showcase its reusable grocery bags in an effort to reduce the millions paper and plastic bags that end up in landfills.

Every time a shopper chooses paper or plastic they have made the wrong choice, but are not even offered the right; we just want to make sure that people know of the third option, explained Doreen Molk, co-founder of Green Endeavors.

Reusing bags is one of the easiest ways a person can decrease their negative impact on the earth. If every American changed his or her habits for one year to reusing bags rather than simply disposing of them, four billion dollars and 14 million trees would be spared.
