(NASHVILLE, Tenn.) On July 17th, Bomshel will perform at The Home For A Hero concert at Greer Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee. In addition to Bomshel, other artists are scheduled to perform including Charlie Daniels, Lonestar, Craig Morgan, David Lee Murphy, Collin Raye, Joe Diffie, and more. Storme Warren from Great American Country (GAC) will host the event.

Proceeds from the concert will fund the design and construction of a custom home for 22-year-old soldier Kevin Downs, who was severely wounded in Iraq in August 2005. Sgt. Downs is the sole survivor of an ambush that killed three American soldiers from the 278th Regimental Combat Team of the Tennessee National Guard unit. Down lost both of his legs and suffered burns over 60% of his body during the attack. The home will feature several aminities designed to allow for greater mobility and independance.

Bomshel will perform their forthcoming single “The Power Of One,” an uplifting song about the impact that one person can have in making a positive difference in the world.

“Buffy and I are honored to be a part of this event,” said Bomshel's Kristy O. “We can’t imagine what this young man has been through," added Buffy Lawson. "We're happy to have the opportunity to honor his bravery and to help create a brighter, more independant future for him."

Tickets for the event are $22 in advance, $32 at the gate, and $15 for Military Personnelle (plus applicable box office & handling fees). Tickets are on sale now through the Nashville Sounds box office. The pre-show event will begin at 5:00 p.m. with the concert scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m.
