Meditation & Gentle Yoga for the Chakras Workshop at Wilmington Yoga Center

Donna Gardner will share information about Meditation and Gentle Yoga for the Chakras in a workshop at the Wilmington Yoga Center October 26- 28, 2007. The weekend will include exercises in sitting and walking meditation, discussions to help clarify practical issues new meditators tend to encounter, suggestions for setting up a daily practice and taking your meditative awareness into the world, and instructions and asanas for chakra balancing.

Friday, October 26 - 10:00am - 1:30 pm & 2:30 – 6:00 pm
Saturday, October 27 - Noon – 2:30pm & 4:00 – 6:30 pm
Sunday, October 28 - 9:30am – noon & 1:30 – 4:00 pm

This workshop is rooted in the Buddhist style of vipassana, or insight meditation, but these techniques for expanding awareness and releasing painful mental habits are useful no matter what your religious or spiritual orientation. Gentle Yoga is a slower paced practice that is accessible to people of all shapes, sizes and fitness levels.

About the instructor:
Donna Gardner has been practicing yoga and Insight Meditation for over 20 years and is an experienced teacher. She holds a Masters Degree in Dance from New York University, and is an ACE certified personal trainer. In addition, she attended the Graduate School of Social Work at Boston University and completed Level 1 certification in Thai Yoga Bodywork.
