(SAVANNAH, GA) The office of Bradford A. Durham, DMD, PC has recently completed
it’s new jingle. Savannah native, Kim Michael Polote is both the singer and
writer of the new tune, titled I Just Smile.

“I smile a lot,” says Kim.

“So writing and singing this one came so natural. And Dr. Durham has helped me
to smile. As my dentist, he’s done a lot of work to help my smile look better
and better.”

She loves the entire song, but there are a few lyrics she loves most:

Friends and family can see
A brand new side of me
They ask ‘what did you do?’
I just smile.

Her other favorite:

When you smile
The world’s a b etter place to be
A brand new smile
Made the difference for me.

Polote became a client at Dr. Durham’s office in 2002. Back then, she was just
going on for routine cleanings and check-ups. But over time, she utilized Dr.
Durham’s skills in other ways.

“I was supposed to be opening up for Al Green, and 2 weeks before that show I
broke a tooth! Dr. Durham fixed it and thank goodness. I have such a
confidence in his skills, I can’t imagine going to someone else” she says.

Polote has a long history of singing in Savannah. She is best known for winning
the 2001 Vocal Competition at the Savannah Music Festival. People travel from
all over to compete, and Polote says it’s rare that someone local walks away
with the win. She got a $10,000 prize for her first place, and since then, has
sung with several well-known celebrities, like Harry Connick Jr.

“The first thing he said to me was ‘I love your smile!’”

That s mile can only get so big on the outside, but somehow, she says, it keeps
getting bigger and bigger on the inside. Perhaps, she says, the new jingle has
something to do with it.
