PALO ALTO, CALIF. – Last Sunday’s edition of the New York Times recommended that summer travelers to Europe visit HotelShark.com to “learn as much as you can about the accommodations.”

The article, entitled “Some Ways to Pinch Euros on Summer Hotel Stays,” called HotelShark.com a primary tool for “researching hotels on the Internet.” The May 29, 2005 piece went on to note that HotelShark.com publishes “consumer opinions about properties.”

HotelShark.com was the first of two hotel review websites mentioned in the article. The other was acquired by a publicly-traded company last year. HotelShark.com remains 100% owned by its creator.

HotelShark.com is regularly cited as a lodging authority in major metropolitan newspapers. So far in 2005, the website has been cited in the Chicago Tribune, the San Francisco Chronicle, the San Jose Mercury News, and in London’s The Indepenent.

HotelShark.com collects, screens, and publishes unbiased hotel reviews written by real travelers. The site publishes a submitted review only after it has been thoroughly researched and authenticated. HotelShark.com discards well over half of all incoming contributions as insufficient or invalid. The site may be viewed free of charge at the www.hotelshark.com Internet address.

HotelShark.com is not affiliated with any of the aforementioned publications.
