Los Angeles, CA – July, 2007 — Ventura Transfer Company (VTC), a pioneer in the transloading and distribution of bulk products shipped throughout the United States, today announced that it has added several new chassis and containers to their fleet in Phoenix, Arizona. Increased customer demand also necessitated the addition of two new chassis and containers in March 07.

In an effort to reduce concerns in Phoenix about overcrowded rail yards, and loss of shipping business to yards further South like Casa Grande and Tucson, VTC has invested in new equipment, yard management techniques and increased staffing to meet client demand with efficiency and minimization of delays for shippers.

“We take our responsibility to our customers very seriously. Our aim is always to provide excellent service at all of our depots. By the same token we feel a responsibility to the city of Phoenix to be good corporate citizens and do what we can to make our facility as safe and as efficient as possible,” said Brian Oken, president and CEO.“
VTC will continue to upgrade and improve the Phoenix depot to accommodate additional business.
