Niagara Falls Entertainment: Pink Floyd Niagara hits the stage in Niagara Falls Canada

July 19, 2007 (PRLEAP.COM) Entertainment News
This week marks the premier of Pink Floyd Niagara at the newly named Niagara Centre for the Performing Arts. The show is a live reproduction of the Pink Floyd “Pulse Tour” and is one of the biggest tribute productions ever staged. The realization of a dream for Larry Swiercz, Rob Wells and Greg Johns, Pink Floyd Niagara is a two hour performance that must not be compared to seeing a band in a bar. Although the performers realize that they are a tribute band, comparisons to other groups get a strong reaction from Greg Johns. “We are definitely not just another cover band” says Johns “you don’t just “see” this show, it’s an experience.”

11 members, every one accomplished and experienced with 7 core members that have worked together in various projects before gives the band a level of comfort and control that would normally take other bands years to attain. This relaxed yet professional musical relationship allows the band to work on the material in greater detail then a band pieced together.

Stationed in one location, Pink Floyd Niagara has the luxury of being able to truly provide a unique concert experience. The band has turned down offers to play in other venues because the space would not allow for the level of production on which Pink Floyd Niagara insists. The technical level and sheer volume of on stage lighting and effects, video presentation and most of all quadraphonic sound! Few, if any Pink Floyd tribute bands will match Pink Floyd Niagara!

Photo op is Wednesday night rehearsal.
