AccuList Adds Kotowski

VENTURA, CA, July 19 - David Kanter, President and CEO of AccuList, is pleased to announce that he has added Jack Kotowski to the successful AccuList team. Jack Kotowski was named Director of Marketing and Strategic Alliances. In this ever increasingly inter-related world, he will lead AccuList’s building of synergistic relationships with many different types of organizations that can further their mutual clients’ interests. Jack Kotowski has been in marketing (and technology) for over 30 years in both the business to consumer (B to C) and business to business (B to B) worlds. During that time he has managed a staff as large as 75 people, and has also had his own corporation whose primary business was Internet Marketing consulting. He created the first marketing department for an industrial services firm whose sales were just over $100 million, and helped build it up to nearly $200 million. He co-founded an Internet Service Provider over ten years ago. More recently he was the marketing department for Magellan’s, the travel gear catalog company. During his four year tenure there as a client of David Kanter and AccuList’s, sales tripled. Having been responsible for circulation and mailing millions of catalogs at a time, he certainly understands the importance of quality lists, targeting, and integrated marketing. He negotiated and managed national cooperative marketing efforts with such well-known organizations as American Express, Visa, General Motors, Delta Airlines, the Student Loan Management Agency, and Quixtar (the Internet division of Amway). He also developed strong working relationships, and dealt regularly, with major media outlets such as The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, USA Today, ABC, NBC, Oprah, and many others, resulting in hundreds of stories featuring Magellan’s each year. Jack helped launch Magellan’s website on February 13, 1998. Within three years the site accounted for 27% of total sales. This growth was fueled by the new customer acquisition success of the three affiliate marketing programs Jack ran as part of his responsibilities there. Of the many Internet affiliate programs he has created and/or managed on different platforms for many different types of companies, the most notable is that of Zappos.com. Zappos.com is now the largest retailer of shoes on the Internet. In three years Jack built their program from $9 million a year to over $104 million annually.
