The REA Group Launches New Corporate Website to Reflect Its Global Growth

The REA Group (ASX: REA, realestate.com.au Ltd and its subsidiary businesses) has launched a corporate information website for investors, journalists, customers and consumers at www.rea-group.com. This new site marks the company’s transition from a small Australian national business into the world’s only global online real estate advertising company.

The company began in 1996 with realestate.com.au, a single Australian residential real estate site. It became profitable in 2001. Today it operates 15 residential and commercial real estate websites in eight countries. It also provides software solutions and websites to real estate agents and publishes real estate-related print magazines.

The REA Group’s Performance:
• Revenue increased 81% in 2006 to $61 million.
• Gross profit increased 134% in 2006, to $13.1 million.
• Total web traffic to our real estate and home improvement websites reached 7.2 million in June 2007. (Nielsen//NetRatings)
• 19,000 real estate agents subscribe to our real estate classifieds websites (May 2007).

“Our new informational website is a symbol of how quickly the REA Group has grown into a global online media player,” said Simon Baker, the REA Group’s Managing Director.

He added, “The site provides a quick and simple way for analysts, the media and customers to keep up with the rapid growth of the business. As we enter new markets, information about them will be added to the site.”
