July 23, 2007- HowToItaly, a fast-growing specialist company, is now accepting applications for their 2008 summer Mentorship in Sardinia, Italy. The HowToItaly Mentorship program takes place June 1st – June 8th, and is an all-inclusive service that combines aspects of an internship with intense week-long mentoring from an Italian business manager and expat business owner. The end result is a maximum learning experience as well as valuable networking contacts and educational courses that are catered towards those who wish to live and work in Italy.

Participants will be spending a week with Mario Berri, an Italian business manager, published author and partner in two major Italian firms. In addition, they will be coached by Emma Bird, an English business owner, English teacher, published author and freelance journalist who has written for a variety of travel magazines and newspapers all over Europe, as well as worked in corporate Italy. They will also meet Laura Buonanno, an American marketing specialist who began planning her move abroad after consulting with HowToItaly.

Together, Emma and Mario will combine forces to mentor and mold participants into the perfect candidate for any Italian company. They will be learning valuable information on the Italian labor market, the possibility of starting their own business, networking their way to a job, why Italians seek American employees, business etiquette, Italian lessons, job possibilities in all sectors and much, much more. Laura will answer any questions you have about the difficulties in making that first step and how she successfully moved to Italy.

Participants will also come away with their own Italian resume and cover letter to use when applying to Italian companies, as well as a strategy plan catered directly to each person mapping out their move to Italy, with all available info on the available job markets, best cities and areas to move to, a check list of what must be done to achieve their dream job and other pertinent information to help make their transition abroad successful.

The all-inclusive cost of the workshop is Euro 2500. This includes accommodation at a 3-star hotel, breakfast and dinner, a real head start climbing the career ladder in Italy, networking with a senior manager that has worked across the fashion and textile, petrochemical, retail, logistics, telephony and packaging sectors, and personalized resume/CV and covering letter written in Italian. Optional Italian lessons with Emma and Mario are also included. Miscellaneous activities, such as spa days, facials, and horse back riding can be scheduled beforehand and are not included in the cost.

Because of limited space and the nature of this service, applications and an up-to-date resume are required. For more information, and the weekly schedule of the mentorship, please visit us at: www.squidoo.com/youngprofessionals.
