Second Chance Raising Money for Animals

Raleigh, NC July 26, 2007 - Second Chance Pet Adoptions is holding its Seventh Annual Auction for the Animals at Delightful Inspirations at Caspar Business Park, 5511 Avent Ferry Road, Raleigh, NC 27606, Saturday, July 28, from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m.

The annual fundraising event provides nearly 20 percent of Second Chance’s annual operating funds. This year’s goal is to raise $30,000. The auction will be MC'ed by G105's Kentucky Kristin. Ticket prices are $35.00 in advance or $45.00 at the door and include appetizers as well as wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages. Tickets can be ordered online at www.secondchancenc.org.

Among this year’s items for the auction are a week on the beach in Maui and a weekend in Wilmington. Also up for auction are season tickets for the Carolina Railhawks, events at Booth Amphitheater, a NC winery tour, artwork, jewelry, and pet related products and toys. A new Chrysler Sebring or Jeep Wrangler are being raffled off as well as a 42” Plasma TV and a Video Ipod.

All proceeds from the auction will go towards continuing our work in finding homes for stray and abandoned cats and dogs in the greater Triangle area. The event is open to the public and we invite you to share in the evening of food, friendship, and fun as we raise money for this great cause.

Second Chance Pet Adoptions was founded in 1987 and became a bona fide 501 (c) (3) non-profit rescue organization in 1989. Second Chance's mission is to rescue abandoned and stray cats and dogs, provide excellent care for each pet and match each pet with the best home for its needs, in order to ensure a long lifetime of safety, love and companionship. Second Chance also encourages responsible pet ownership through education, advocacy, programs and services. Adoptathons are held every weekend both offsite and at the current facility. The facility is open to the public every Saturday and Sunday from 12 to 3.
