ST PETERSBURG, Fla. (July 24, 2007) – Imagine children heading off to school without the right tools for success - like immunizations and school supplies - just because their families lack the means to provide them. Getting the school year off a good start is what the Junior League of St. Petersburg's Back-to-School Care Fair is all about.

That tradition will continue this year, on Saturday, August 4. In its 11th year, the annual event offers free medical exams, immunizations, vision checks, dental screenings and backpacks filled with school supplies to at-risk children in St. Petersburg's Midtown and Childs Park areas. Last year, more than 2,200 children attended the event.
