ST. LOUIS (July 26, 2007) – Developers of The Private Residences at The Chase Park Plaza have unveiled finalized plans to recreate The Park Plaza mezzanine and lobby specifically for The Private Residences at The Chase Park Plaza. Included in the overhaul will be a community amenity room, garden terrace, residence-only concierge desk and private entrances.

“The Private Residences at The Chase Park Plaza are creating a distinct living experience within the integrity and history of the original structure,” said Jim Smith, one of the Chase Park Plaza developers. “It was time to ensure that experience was reflected throughout the entire building beyond our residents’ homes and extended into the commons areas.”

The new plans make way for an expansive community amenity room on the second-floor mezzanine. From this location, residents can privately entertain guests or visit with neighbors in the large gathering area, complete with a fireplace, tables, plasma television, conference table, lounge furnishings and floor-to-ceiling windows. A separate serving and kitchen area stems from the amenity room for easy access to residents’ preferred catering services.

Residents will also be greeted with a spacious, new stairway entrance, directly linking the mezzanine level to the private parking garage. From the entrance, residents will be just steps away from accessing an elevator, checking their mail or visiting the amenity room.

Also planned within steps from the new entryway, a third-level garden terrace will offer residents an escape into lush greenery and landscaping in the middle of the Central West End. Once on the terrace, residents will be able to lounge in the open air amidst the outdoor seating or enclosed solarium, prepare a meal in the adjoining kitchen, cozy up next to the fireplace, or relax in the gazebo. The terrace will also include a designated pet area and water feature.

The finer details of the project will involve refreshing and polishing the travertine, laying out new furniture, installing new lighting, refurbishing the spiral stairwell, creating two new elevators and a host of other improvements within the lobby and mezzanine.

Ground-floor entrances into the Park Plaza will also be reconfigured, adding secure sliding glass doors and a new Maryland Avenue entryway with valet parking.
