Youth Ambassador, Actress Alexandra Rose Rieger Tours Abroad

Rieger is a Youth Ambassador for the United Nations' affiliated 'Kids With A Cause,' (KWAC). The world wide charity is comprised of young celebrities, including Hillary Duff, who use their passion, resources and talent to make a difference for children around the world. She is also the Youth Ambassador for'In A Perfect World' (IAPW), a non-profit organization, which was founded by social entrepreneur Manuela Testolini to inspire and empower children to become compassionate, socially-conscious and responsible leaders. Alexandra will be visiting:
· Luanda, Angola

· Maputo, Mozambique

· Johannesburg and Cape Town, South Africa

About Rieger

Alexandra is a multi-talented actress who was in "Akeelah and the Bee" with Laurence Fishburne and Angela Bassett. She will also be seen in the upcoming movie "Charlie Wilson's War" with Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts. She is also a singer and musician who just released her single "Harmony" that accompanies a book by the same name. Harmony explores the passion of Peace and the Hope of Harmony. As an attendee of Oprah's Legend Ball Premiere, Rieger recognizes that she stands on the shoulders of those who have come before her. Thus in turn she is driven to use her gifts, talents and influence to make a difference and inspire others to do the same.


She was invited to the Rowell Foster Children's Positive Plan's (RFCPP) Annual Celebration of National Foster Care Awareness Month at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA), an event chaired by LaTanya & Samuel L. Jackson and Carrie & Stephen Odell. Rieger also participated in Victoria Rowell's documentary, "The Mentor." Rieger also appeared on The Chelsea Handler Show.

Most recently, Rieger joined the efforts of It's Cool to Be Smart, a nonprofit organization that works with celebrities in striving to enrich the lives of underserved & underprivileged youth by providing access to role models, music artists, and positive messages that encourage success in education. "It's Cool to be Smart" has partnered with a number of national youth organizations to propel its message nationally.

About the Tour

Alexandra will be promoting Educational Development and Literacy by facilitating a book writing project with children at various hospitals and schools in Los Angeles. She will deliver them to the children she will be visiting in Africa and Europe. A short documentary will be made capturing highlights of the tour and its preparation. Rieger will also visit various schools, organizations and meet with governmental officials while abroad. She will promote Education and Literacy through speaking engagements and events. These will feature: concerts, donations as well as group projects with various children's organizations, orphanages and charitable groups.
