Oluma, the leading provider of Optical Sensing Solutions, has appointed Gerry Gilbert President and CEO. Gerry will join recent investor Russ Irwin of Convergence Partners on the Oluma Board of Directors as well. "We view the decision by an experienced, energy-industry general manager like Gerry to join us as an affirmation of the value of Oluma's sensing solutions." Comments Bo Pi Oluma's CTO and co-founder. "Gerry knows our oil & gas customers and understands why they are so excited about our products and capabilities". Gerry's background spans 35 years in the oil patch — Gerry ran Exploration & Production at Baker Hughes after holding several VP roles at Western Atlas and Halliburton Geophysical. Most recently he was Senior VP International at Transworld Exploration & Production. "Gerry was selected after an extensive search from a superb group of candidates — we're delighted to have him on board." Adds Bruce Graham of Infinity Capital. "In conjunction with the recently-closed, outsider-led, $9 million financing, we are delighted that Oluma is in a position to accelerate the adoption of its fiber-based sensors in the oil industry."
