After an incredibly inspiring journey on the 2007 series of The Biggest Loser, Kelly Donaghy-Lewis has lost more than 25 kilos and will be joining the RSVP’s Heartracers team in the Sun Herald City-2-Surf.

Kelly was an inspiration to people all over Australia and won many hearts earlier this year, sharing her story and rising to the challenge of life-changing weight loss on one of Australia’s most successful reality TV shows.

Kelly, a single mum who works as a detective with the NSW Police, signed on to Australia’s largest dating website, RSVP, in the hope of meeting some new people and possibly, even to find love online. Within a month of registering, Kelly met a great guy and is now enjoying the exciting stages of a new relationship with a man she met online at RSVP.

“I was thrilled to be asked to be the ambassador for the RSVP Heartracers in this year’s City-2-Surf,” said Donaghy-Lewis. “When I joined The Biggest Loser, I was just getting over a marriage break-up and as a single mother of two, my own health, fitness and lifestyle took a back-seat.

“Now, six months on, I have newfound confidence, am extremely passionate about health and fitness. I am also very happily dating a great guy, so life is good!”

RSVP spokesperson Lija Jarvis added, “We are delighted that Kelly has agreed to lead the Heartracers. Kelly is a fantastic ambassador for our team and also just an inspiration to many, she has a great attitude to life and her journey is an inspiration to any single person who can relate to a painful break-up or the challenge of converting an unhealthy lifestyle and mindset into something very positive.”

As an official supporter of the 2007 Sun Herald City-2-Surf, RSVP is sponsoring Heartbreak Hill.

RSVP is encouraging singles and couples who have found love on RSVP to sign up to team. Two ranges of RSVP race T-shirts are in production for the team, “I’m so hot right now” and “there is an easier way to meet 50,000 people”, which are already proving to be a real hit.

RSVP has a goal to raise $10,000 from the race to buy a CoughAssist machine for The Institute for Neuromuscular Research at The Westmead Children’s Hospital.
