Detroit Marketing Company wins Design Awards

The Sales & Marketing Council of the Building Industry Association of Southeastern Michigan recently announced the winners of their 2007 SAM awards. The awards ceremony took place May 16th at The Community House in Birmingham. The Sales & Marketing Council hosts awards yearly to showcase the best work in the building industry. Awards include work for community developments themselves, to design, marketing, and sales achievements.

Kirkwood won two Gold awards: Best Brochure For A Community Between $250,000 - $500,000 for Metro Lofts and Best Special Promotion for SkyLofts MarketSquare. The brochure designed for Metro Lofts was a 30 page glossy booklet with rough organic outside, highlighting the raw feel of the lofts provided. The Special Promotion for SkyLofts MarketSquare was an extremely successful fashion show that donated all proceeds to the local farmers market which is positioned across the street from the SkyLofts. Both developments are in Royal Oak Michigan.

These were the fourth and fifth SAM awards that Kirkwood has received, the previous being in 2004 for work at the Crossings and Irving.


The Kirkwood Group, a real estate marketing company in detroit, is led by principal Tracy Koe Wick. Tracy Koe Wick a former real estate agent is a graduate of the University of Michigan, and formed the Kirkwood Group in 1999 after she realized that all new home communities looked the same.

The Kirkwood Group is based in Ann Arbor that markets, advertises, and promotes new home communities.
