Fair Investment launches new online energy comparison tool

August 06, 2007 (PRLEAP.COM) Business News
Energy customers can now find the cheapest prices in their area with a new comparison tool launched by independent financial website, www.fairinvestment.co.uk. Fair Investment Company’s new energy calculator compares tariffs from all major suppliers and small companies that supply utilities to your area, which means that consumers can switch providers and start saving an average of more than £150 a year on your gas, electricity and dual fuel bills.

James Caldwell, director of Fair Investment Company, says: “In an increasingly competitive market, it can be difficult for consumers to know which provider will give them the best deal on utilities, but with this tool it is all there, on the screen, so you can see exactly which deal is going to be best for you.

“By entering your postcode, current energy supplier and your usage, this tool can help to make sure you get the best price for your energy consumption, and potentially save you hundreds of pounds a year. And because it is specific to your own postcode, you know the deal is up to date and available, unlike some websites which show the best deal, but do not take into account its national availability.

“Also, if you want to limit your carbon footprint, the service can help by comparing how green each supplier is and telling you what affect switching will have from one provider to another.”

The service is provided by UKPower, one of the longest running energy comparison services in the UK; it is Energywatch accredited, impartial and independent of all energy suppliers and constantly monitors the market to bring customers the cheapest possible deal to switch to – a quick, easy process with all the paperwork taken care of.

The tool is free to use and there is no obligation to switch, with no risk either, because if customers change their mind, they can cancel the switch up to seven days after application.

“Using the switching service means you can find online tariffs that are not always available by going direct to the supplier”, says Graham Self from UKPower. “And unlike car insurance, you can change energy suppliers more than once a year, so you can make sure you are always getting the best deal.”
