Where Women Wanderlusters Go for Solo Travel Tips

August 08, 2007 (PRLEAP.COM) Travel News
To assist the growing community of women travelers, Wanderlust and Lipstick
(http://WanderlustAndLipstick.com) has launched a Wanderluster Tips page
(http://wanderlustandlipstick.com/wander-tips/wanderluster-tips full of helpful travel information by and for the globetrotting woman. Submitted by women Wanderlusters, these include tips for women traveling solo, safe travel tips and language tips for travelers.

There are very few resources for women traveling independently. And fewer still that aggregate specific suggestions for the wayward wandering woman. With the launch of Wanderluster Tips, the website’s creator, Beth Whitman, aims to provide a destination where women can share insider tips that they’ve learned while on the road. Women are encouraged to provide their very own tips for this popular page and can do so by emailing: beth@WanderlustAndLipstick.com.

Beth Whitman is the author of Wanderlust and Lipstick: The Essential Guide for
Women Traveling Solo. In addition to Wanderluster Tips, the site includes articles from such noted travel writers as Stephanie Elizondo Griest, Maliha Masoud and Meg Peterson. The site is also filled with pages of product recommendations, links to hundreds of travel-related websites and blogs written by experts in specific areas of interest including responsible travel, travel book
reviews and all things French.

Much of the site’s information is culled from Whitman’s twenty years of experience as a solo traveler. Says Whitman, “There is a dearth of information in this genre. With the growing trend of women travelers, from young backpackers to older widows and divorcees, Wanderlust and Lipstick is meant to encourage women to hit the road now and follow their dream journey.
