Etcom launches the Global Media Partnership Program to support the 2007 Ethnic Business Awards

August 10, 2007 (PRLEAP.COM) Business News
The leading multicultural communications agency in Australia and the producers of the Ethnic Business Awards, Etcom, is proud to announce the launch of the Global Media Partnership Program. The program was designed to form a unilateral alliance of media outlets across print, radio, web and television who support the Ethnic Business Awards, the longest running awards in the country recognising and rewarding the social and economic contributions of migrants to Australia.

Media outlets are encouraged to join this partnership by supporting and endorsing the awards through their outlet and readership, encouraging migrant business owners in their region to apply for the awards. This unilateral show of support by a cross section of media outlets will demonstrate to the public, and the corporate and government sponsors, a unified support for multicultural Australia.

As a Global Media Partner, the media outlet will be included in the aggressive national and international publicity campaign for the 2007 Awards, to be staged on November 14 at the Hilton Hotel, Sydney.

Partners are requested to announce the call for nominations and encourage successful migrant businesses owners from communities across Australia to submit nominations. They are also requested to cover the award nominations, write up about the finalists, and post details of the winners and congratulatory notices in their relevant media outlets.

In return, Global Media Partners will receive major national, ethnic and international media exposure including television coverage on SBS Broadcast Network and The Australia Network broadcast to 46 countries worldwide. Media partners will be included in media releases going out to 2150 major city and regional Australian media outlets, the Australian Associated Press National and Ethnic newswire service and international newswire service to finalist host countries.

Becoming a Global Media Partner of the 2007 Ethnic Business Awards provides a unique experience to recognise, honour and support the migrant journey.

Shelley Winsor, CEO of Etcom, states ¡° The Global Media Partner Program is a way to bridge the gap between mainstream and ethnic media outlets, and form an alliance which stands united in supporting the migrant dream in Australia. These awards are a celebration of humanity, media support is a vital part of the recognition.¡±
