ThinPrint Picks Up the Pace

August 11, 2007 (PRLEAP.COM) Technology News

(Berlin, August 2007) But it isn’t just in the speed alone that sets ThinPrint apart from the competition. The flexible architecture already enables the use of ThinPrint .print in almost all distributed systems. With the new Version 7.6, an additional license model has now been released in order to ensure a licensing as fair as possible in all environments.

The ThinPrint .print technology is a must for deployment in all distributed network environments, where high requirements on printing management are inherent to the system. Aptly demonstrated with the technology recently being integrated by VMware into the desktop virtualization solution ACE 2.0, enabling secure and driver-free print functionality.
Users now experience a dramatic increase in speed of the print data transmission thanks to the new function "Adaptive Speed" in Version 7.6. Adaptive Speed intelligently decides whether to compress the print data and which algorithm to use for compression. In this way, the transmission speed can be increased by an enormous amount dependent on the available bandwidth.
"With Version 7.6, we set another milestone in the development history and offer our customers the fastest .print software of all time,“ says Charlotte Künzell, General Manager at ThinPrint GmbH. "The adjustment of the license model also ensures that the use of our proven technology in every distributed environment now always also allows for fair pricing.“

The new .print Engine 7.6 is now available from over 500 channel partners in more than 80 countries.
