ASUS Announces New PDA Phones and Smart Phones to Mark Entering Thailand’s Niche Feature Phone Market

Bangkok (August 2007) – ASUSTeK Computer (Thailand) had announced its first models of PDA phones P525 and P535 to Thailand market in November 2006. Those models aim to grasp strong foothold in the niche feature phones segment, which continues to increase in popularity amongst Thai users.

With outstanding feature-rich functionalities developed by ASUS Research and Development team, ASUS PDA phones have been rapidly gaining popularity in Thailand PDA Phone market.

“Ever since the launching of PDA phones eight or nine months ago, ASUS PDA phones are among the company’s best-selling products in term of sale figures,” said Mr.Pornthep Watchara-amnouy, Managing Director of ASUSTeK Computer (Thailand) Co., Ltd. “This significantly marks a successful start for ASUS PDA phones to gain even stronger foothold in Thailand market.”

“We plan to catch up with this rapid growth segment by adding three new models, which are the P526 and P735 PDA phones and the M530w smart phone to go together with existing core products. Each the model possesses the unique functionalities that fit with different needs of individuals’ lifestyle,” he added.

“The P735 suits for business people on the go especially across time zones roam. It possesses the beautifully looks of the P535 smart phone integrated with add-on functionalities such as built-in front camera to support 3G features and unique metallic hairline theme design to prevent scratches from using. The latest design M530w smart phone is imbued with wireless communication, built-in Bluetooth technology, and QWERTY keypad that support world-class email for economically roaming use anywhere anytime,” she further remarked.

All the three models run on Windows Mobile 6 operating system and are now available at ASUS dealerships’ stores across the country. Prices have been set at 19,990 baht (VAT-included) for the P526; 28,900 baht (VAT-included) for the P735; and 18,900 baht (VAT-included) for the M530w smart phone.
