Mr. Robert W. Chandler partner and head of our Banking & Finances practice [www.sanchezdevanny.com]recently received American Chamber of Commerce of Mexico, A.C.'s 2004 Yiacatecutli Award for distinguished Service to the American Business Community in Mexico, represented by the Aztec god of Trade and merchants (variations include: Yacatecutli and Yacacoliuhqui).

In a ceremony in Monterrey (where one of our offices is located) the American Chamber named Bob and others as recipients in "honoring those leaders among its members who continue Yiacatecutli's mission of creating strong commercial and investment ties and whose work provides essential support to the mission of the Chamber."

The American Chamber of Commerce of Mexico, A.C. is an independent non-profit organization dedicated to the representation, promotion, and development of business interests between Mexico and the United States. Founded in 1917, American Chamber/Mexico is the largest and oldest American Chamber of Commerce outside of the United States, serving the business community in the promotion of trade and commerce. Its main office is located in Mexico City with offices in Guadalajara and Monterrey.
