Stylin' Trucks Awards "Karma" SUV

August 16, 2007 (PRLEAP.COM) Business News
CLEVELAND, Ohio – August 16, 2007 – When Jane DeLoache of Nashville, TN won the 2007 Chevy Tahoe sweepstakes from Stylin’ Trucks, the leader in performance parts and custom accessories for trucks and SUVs, she considered it a life-changing experience. The sweepstakes, also sponsored by DJM suspension specialists, had more than 50,000 entries and DeLoache was randomly selected.

The Karma-Mobile
This custom 2007 Chevy Tahoe includes more than $25,000 worth of enhancements, including a lowered DJM suspension, Magnaflow exhaust system, a Crutchfield stereo system, Cal Vu sport mirrors and a Street Scene chrome speed grille. See below for a complete list of the upgrades.

The vehicle is certainly a step up for DeLoache, who had not had reliable transportation in years. This made it difficult for her to volunteer in her community and help her family, two of her interests. Obviously, her luck has changed. “I guess this is the good karma SUV. I can get out there and do things for people!"

Bringing out Her Creative Side
Another one of DeLoche’s passions is her art. She is a freelance photographer and believes this truck will also help her expand this pursuit. “Now I can head off to all the good karma places, like California, and find inspiration. I can easily fit a surfboard AND all of my photography equipment in here,” she chuckled.

John Milos, president of Stylin’ Trucks considers this vehicle a work of art in its own right. “This vehicle was designed by one of our call center agents, a true truck enthusiast. By partnering with DJM, Crutchfield and the many other vendors, we created a truck with unparalleled design and performance.

"When you drive down the street, kids are going to take pictures with their camera phone,” Milos assured DeLoache. “After all, it’s Stylin’s mission to make trucks look good and go fast!”

DeLoache agreed and is confident her new truck will make a statement in Knoxville. “I guess it will give my fuddy duddy neighbors something to talk about,” she said with a bit of mischief in her eyes!

She considers this truck a new member of the family. “I think this is the beginning of a beautiful relationship,” she concluded with a smile.

2007 Chevy Tahoe Enhancements

Performance
Starting with a bone-stock 2007 Chevy Tahoe, the Stylin’ Trucks build team added a slew of aftermarket accessories for both hot styling and great performance. Performance accessories include a retuned ECU by way of an SLP Performance Tuner, along with an SLP high-performance rocker arm kit and high-flowing intake system, that’s fed by a Keystone Ram-Air hood. Exhaust gasses are then routed out through a stainless steel Magnaflow exhaust system. 22” KMC 820-SS wheels were added to provide a cozy home for the large Baer 6-piston rotor brake kit and DJM’s newest lowering kit, which includes a set of tubular front control arms and a pair of rear lowering springs to hold it all together.

Interior
The interior of the custom Chevy Tahoe not only got the Stylin’ treatment, it also received lots of love from the fine folks at Crutchfield, who installed a slammin’ stereo system. Navigation, DVD, chest-thumping subs, this system has it all! And while you’re cruising down the street, engine vitals and other unnecessary information (like your speed) are displayed through a US Speedo Aqua Marine gauge kit. A Lloyd custom floor mat kit provides a soft, plush resting place for your feet.

Exterior
Corner-cutting performance and a booming stereo aren’t the only things listed on this applicant’s resume; the DJM/Stylin’ Trucks Tahoe has some of the hottest exterior accessories available. First, the whole SUV was covered with a custom graphics job that was designed and installed in-house, at the Stylin’ Trucks facilities in Independence, Ohio. Then, various new items from Street Scene were installed, including its new ’07 Tahoe bumper cover, prototype billet fender vents (link goes to first generation fender vents), Cal-Vu sport mirrors and a chrome Street Scene speed grille. More flashy accessories round out the product offering. All Sales supplied the build crew with its new 3rd brake light cover, a chrome gas door and billet door handles. The hot chrome taillight covers are from Putco and the ultra-bright LEDs inside the taillights are from Spiderlite.
