(ATLANTA, GA – Aug. 23, 2007) Every two years, the Georgia Conservancy hosts a conference to bring together engaged citizens, educators, government representatives, and business and industry leaders for an in-depth review of a specific environmental issue. The Georgia Conservancy’s Common Ground 07 conference will educate participants about environmental impacts of energy production and use, current issues related to climate change, energy efficiency and renewable energy in Georgia, and methods for individuals, business, industry and government to decrease energy use in their own sectors. This conference aims to inspire and motivate Georgia citizens to create a new vision for the state’s energy future.
