Hollywood Actor Jim Caviezel Makes Time to Share His Story

The Count of Monte Cristo, Frequency, High Crimes, Pay It Forward, The Thin Red Line, and Déjà Vu are just a few blockbuster hits under Jim Caviezel’s belt. But his life in the Hollywood lights wasn’t always so glamorous. When Caviezel was just 23, he moved to Los Angeles and worked as a waiter between auditions. After a few months of struggling to find acting jobs, he began to pick up small parts in TV series including The Wonder Years and Murder, She Wrote.

Caviezel’s first break came with a minor role in Gus Van Sant’s 1991 film My Own Private Idaho. Finally, his big break came when he played in the 1998 war movie, The Thin Red Line. But none of Caviezel’s previous roles could have prepared him for the grueling, challenging role that he would occupy in Mel Gibson’s 2004 mega hit — The Passion of the Christ.

Perhaps best-known for his role in The Passion, Jim Caviezel might have more things in common with Jesus than Hollywood would like to mention. Hailed for his true-to-life performance in The Passion, Caviezel has created quite a controversy in Hollywood and around the world. Caviezel has a story to tell and no one can seem to stop him.
