Area Dogs Supporting The Carolina RailHawks

Cary, NC – September 1, 2007 — Mixed in amongst the cheers coming from SAS Soccer Park you may hear excited barks of encouragement. The Carolina RailHawks have partnered with Second Chance Pet Adoptions for the final home regular season match. All fans are encouraged to bring pet food and toys to support this great organization. They may drop their items at the box office in order to receive a free game day program. Additionally, to help facilitate pet adoptions, some of Second Chance’s adoptable dogs will be there during the game and on display at halftime. The Carolina RailHawks continue their quest for the eighth and final playoff spot of the U.S. Open Cup by hosting the Portland Timbers. Opening kick is at 7:30PM.

Tickets for all remaining RailHawks soccer matches at SAS Soccer Park including Saturday, September 1st against the Portland Timbers are available at the SAS Soccer Park Box Office, all Ticketmaster outlets,, or charge by phone at (919) 834-4000. Second Chance Pet Adoptions was founded in 1987 and became a bona fide 501 (c) (3) non-profit rescue organization in 1989. Second Chance's mission is to rescue abandoned and stray cats and dogs, provide excellent care for each pet and match each pet with the best home for its needs, in order to ensure a long lifetime of safety, love and companionship. Second Chance also encourages responsible pet ownership through education, advocacy, programs and services. Adoptathons are held every weekend both offsite and at the current facility. The facility is open to the public every Saturday and Sunday from 12 to 3.
